Meet the Team Behind The COPE Project NOLA
Behind every mentor match, every classroom visit, and every newsletter you get from us, there's a small team working to make it happen. This month, we wanted to introduce you to the people behind COPE — the ones showing up every day for our mentors, mentees, and the community we serve.

Deidre Craige
Program Director
Deidre leads COPE's programming from the ground up. From building out mentor and mentee matches to shaping the partnerships that make our work possible — like our relationships with Loyola University and Esperanza Academy — Deidre makes sure every part of the program runs with intention. Her focus is simple: every mentor and mentee gets the support they need to build a relationship that actually lasts.
Lauren Temple
Mentoring Services Coordinator
Lauren is often the first person you'll hear from at COPE. As our Mentoring Services Coordinator, she manages the day-to-day of the mentoring program — onboarding new mentors, coordinating matches, and keeping communication flowing between our team, our mentors, and our partner organizations. If you've gotten an email about an event, an opportunity, or a next step, there's a good chance it came from Lauren.

DeNesha Deans
Marketing Specialist
DeNesha tells COPE's story. As Marketing Specialist, she's behind the website, social media, and campaigns — like this newsletter — that connect our community to the mission. Her work is about making sure the people doing the work at COPE, and the young people we serve, get seen.
Together, this team is building something bigger than any one program — a community where mentorship, education, and creativity all have a place. We're glad you're along for it.
