We're excited to officially launch Mentors In Arts — a new initiative from The COPE Project NOLA built to connect our mentees with artists, musicians, and creatives across New Orleans.

What Is Mentors In Arts?

Mentors In Arts is a creative network of mentors spanning visual art, music, and design. The goal is simple but powerful: pair mentees with people who are actively building lives around their craft, so they can see firsthand what's possible when creativity meets purpose.

Mentorship doesn't only look like tutoring or career advice — sometimes it looks like a working artist showing a young person that their creativity is something worth pursuing. That's what this initiative is all about.

Our First Mentor

We're thrilled to share that we've already onboarded our very first Mentors In Arts mentor — an artist we connected with at Baldwin & Co., the beloved New Orleans bookstore. It's a fitting start for an initiative rooted in community and creativity, and we can't wait to see this network grow from here.

Building a New Orleans Creative Network

New Orleans has one of the richest creative communities anywhere, and Mentors In Arts is about tapping into that — building relationships with individual artists as well as art and music organizations across the city, all in service of showing our mentees new paths forward.

Are You an Artist or Creative in New Orleans?

If you paint, play, design, write, perform, or create in any form — we want you. Becoming a Mentors In Arts mentor is a chance to pour into the next generation and show a young person what's possible when you follow your craft.

📩 Interested in becoming a Mentors In Arts mentor?
